Prime Minister Reveals Vision to Transform Portmore into ‘Little Miami’
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has laid out bold plans to transform Portmore, St. Catherine, into a hub of development, dubbing it Jamaica’s very own ‘Little Miami.’ His vision includes significant investments in a state-of-the-art technology park and major road infrastructure upgrades.
Speaking at the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Area Council Two meeting, held on Sunday at the Portmore Heart Academy, Mr. Holness emphasized the importance of these developments in shaping Portmore’s future as a modern, urban center.
The prime minister noted that the Factories Corporation of Jamaica (FCJ) will lead the technology park project, which is set to bring increased technological innovation and business opportunities to the area.
